In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the GISCD organized an awareness workshop presented by employee Amina Abdel Fattah titled "The Innovative Use of GIS in Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness". The workshop focused on presenting mapping techniques to track and analyze the geographic and age-based spread of breast cancer cases, and connecting this data with environmental factors that positively influence the determination of infection rates and enhance community awareness of the importance of breast cancer prevention and early detection.
