The GIS Center of Dubai Municipality has launched a project to design highly precise digital maps for autonomous vehicles in Dubai, which are perceived to constitute most of Dubai’s transportation in the future. This step supports the city's digital transformation initiatives, contributes to making Dubai the best city for living in the world, and enhances the Municipality's vision to be a pioneer in a global city. The GIS Center works continuously to coordinate with partners and stakeholders, with the aim of promoting the principles of integration in the preparation of HD maps, and ensuring their optimal implementation, in accordance with the latest international specifications and standards to provide an ideal experience for map users
